Drenched in reverb and melancholy, Creek is an emo band from Denver Colorado drawing on influences including Balance and Composure, Title Fight, and Seahaven.

Creek was formed in 2015 by Jared Barnes to explore sounds coated with reverb and ambience. Barnes performed alongside a rotating live band for 4 years, playing on stages across the US. The band’s debut EP “Thirteen Hundred” was released in 2017. In 2018 the band went on tour to support the release of their second EP, “Lucky Seven” with a Spring tour in the Pacific Northwest and a Fall tour in the South. With the onset of the pandemic in 2020, Creek went on hiatus to write and record new music, culminating in their first full length album “Never Better”, released in late 2020.

In 2023 Creek reformed with guitarist and vocalist Jared Barnes, guitarist Jared Bakst, bassist Danny Henderson, and drummer Dan Carlson to write their sophomore album “Shortsighted”. More aggressive and dynamic than previous releases, “Shortsighted” is an evolution of Creek’s sound. They toured through the Midwest in October 2024 in support of their new album and are currently writing and recording their follow-up at Swadley Studios.
