Raised on pop-punk by her foul-mouthed Jersey mother, paired with the Fiona Apple CD she found at way too young of an age, Abby Kenna’s cynical, but sincere alt-pop sound was born. After two resounding independent successes with debut singles “Soft” (a very queer F-U anthem) and “Be cool” (where the provocateur finds innocent yearning) – totaling over 100,000 streams without editorial support – Kenna’s cult following grows by the day as listeners thrive in her vulnerable vulgarity.
