RÖK / WE CAPILLARIES / POMPEII GRAFFITI / MODERN TRAP
Matt Fusiek and Danny Piccola are Modern Trap. Harmonic, moody indie sounds with influences ranging from Surf Curse to Cro-Mags. Featuring songs about being completely exasperated, it’s surfy bedroom pop for the broken-hearted.
Pompeii Graffiti is an indie rock band from Maryland that features powerful male and female vocals, cutting synth, soaring cello, and killer songwriting. For fans of: Weezer, Bright Eyes, Cake.
Rok is a menagerie of DC area musicians who have recently convened around a set of diverse musical identities. Utilizing a revolving cast of characters and instrumentation that ebbs and flows from show to show, the band never follows a single muse. Shows can quickly move from symphonic landscapes where violin, viola, and flute wax and wane, to sad bastard country rockers where guitar solos and leg kicks are obligatory, but not before they launch into a velvet underground wormhole just for good measure. Like a conductor guiding an orchestra, Rok focuses on how to best use the band in any given moment to provide a fresh and unique musical experience at every show.
