Natalie Brooke brings the funk, the rock, the roll, and all of the piano and synth vibes to the stage with a powerfully energetic 4 piece band based out of the DC area. The group is led by keyboard/synth player/singer Natalie Brooke and the music is a combination of soulful song writing, heavy jams and improvising. Her influences range from Rick James to Rush, and she plays sets of entirely original music that don’t slow down from beginning to end. Natalie Brooke and the boys in her band are the show that keep you dancing and sweating and having your face melted all night long.

Humbalaya was formed at the University of Maryland, College Park in 2015, and has played around the DMV area ever since. The six-piece group found that their meals and musical experiences lend themselves to one another, and try to combine the joys of both into one. With elements of Latin, rock, funk, and jazz fusion, Humbalaya will bring you comfort just like a delicious home-cooked meal. Their EP “Free Samples” was just the first taste. They are currently working on their first full-length album, so stay tuned for more music from them soon!

For years, Austin Loman has molded his guitar playing to fit into different musical contexts in the jazz and rock spheres. When it came time to embark on his own musical venture, he assembled a quartet with some of the area’s finest, resulting in a unit that can follow Austin’s compositional arc, whether it calls for delicate textural passages, melodic improvised sections, or full-on fusion fireworks.

In the past few years, they have made a splash in the local scene, bringing a high energy performance to spaces such as 49 West, Milkboy Arthouse, and Pie Shop.  Over the lockdown period, Austin would finally release a series of tracks that had been previously recorded by the band, culminating in the full length album ‘Infinite Square Well’.
