Latchkey Kids – Latchkey Kids is a band from New Jersey. Manufactured out of the frenetic energy of Demarest Hall, a residence facility at Rutgers University, Latchkey Kids are simply a product of their experiences. Formed in 2019, the band spent their college semesters chipping away at Jersey’s DIY spaces, and emphasizing their shared joy in cultivating a loving community. Honing in on their “broken English” rock and indie punk sound, Latchkey Kids remain reminiscent of Jersey’s indie icons before them- The Gaslight Anthem, Pinegrove, and My Chemical Romance. Exhausting north, south, and the undisputed ‘central’ NJ, Latchkey Kids would foster a household name in the New Brunswick and Rowan Alt music scenes, before taking their next step.

Establishing their lineup as Hanny Ramadan, Cyle Morris, Joey Grzybowski, and Mihir Rastogi, the band moved together to the Great City of Philadelphia. As a Philly band, Latchkey Kids have learned to come into their own, and are still faced with limitations as a band. However, since their move, the band has toured most of the United States, been featured as an artist at Macrock Festival in Harrisonburg, VA, and opened for acts such as Creature Canyon, Young Jesus, and Well Wisher.

Ekko Astral – D.C.-based pioneers of “mascara mosh pit” music – a pummeling puree of garage princess post-punk.

Two Thumbs Down – Indie punk gremlins from the metro D.C. area

Cherub Tree – Based outside of the Washington DC area, Cherub Tree members Brenna and Ryan pave a new road in the indie scene with their eclectic musical style – combining influences from genres such as punk, folk, grunge, lo-fi, and rock. With acoustic folk-inspired songs like “I Miss”, to up-tempo indie-rock songs like “Serein”, Cherub Tree’s deep resonant tones are complemented by their soft, somber melodies and poetic, narrative lyrics. Cherub Tree transitions to a full four-member band for live performances, which allows them to showcase their songs in a much more dynamic and upbeat manner.
