Formed in 1991 by then Disrupt guitarist Terry Savastano, Grief’s style of “extreme doom” was hugely influential to all things slow, doom, and sludge to follow.  For more than a decade, Grief would release several full lengths, splits, and EP’s before calling it quits.  Fast forward to January 2016, Terry’s new version of Grief (including former Grief drummer Chuck Conlon) played their first show as “Come to Grief”. Since then, Come to Grief have toured the United States, Canada, and Europe, and released ‘The Worst of Times’ EP, a split with Fistula, and the ‘Pray for the End’ EP.  In July 2021 Come to Grief recorded their debut full length, ‘When the World Dies’ (produced by Kurt Ballou/Converge), for release in early 2022.

Drawing on the local black/thrash/grind/crust scene Crawler spews out completely original, memorable, forceful metal riffs that will certainly have you head banging – if you are not already lying broken at the bottom of the pit. White hot screams and blast beats twist and coalesce into black anthems. Just enough ominous space to catch your breath and then you’re pushed back in the deep end to drown again.

Low Flesh is a crushing Sludge band from Virginia. With members of Tomb Warden & Undeath.
