Holding the torch for the DMV, this lyrical wordsmith with an impeccable cadence fused with urban soulful rhythm and melody is back from a brief hiatus with his latest release “UNDERDAWG”.

He explains the meaning of the album title as a moniker for his cult following and his view of himself going into the roller coaster music business.

Chucc’s has collaborated with the likes of Tate kobang,  while his latest effort “UNDERDAWG ” features the likes of DC’s Legend Oddisee on Taking Losses Staying Down  and sounds from the versatile and refreshing producer The Gyfted.

Citing musical influences from legends like Nas, 2pac, Notorious BIG, Lauryn Hill, Nipsey Hussle and 50 Cent, Chucc WhYte paints mural audiovisuals in every story he tells of his past and future which puts him in the same conversation of the very legends he is inspired by.

Chucc Whyte is releasing his latest album “UNDERDAWG ” at the Pie Shop DC independently via Stacchouse Records on September 18th 2022.

An Emcee from NW D.C., trying to maintain the recipes over dope drums and melodies! Sweeps!

Originally from the Ivory Coast but raised my whole life in Baltimore coming up as an artist has never been an easy task to do. With so many distractions surrounding me from the streets to being a father and making sure I succeed in life music literally became my way of escaping reality. It all started with a camera and a vision , I always had a passion for photography which later on turned into videography .shooting music videos for numerous artist really became something I loved to.

Joann was born in Maryland on May 14th, 1999. She grew up in Woodbridge, Virginia where she began singing at a young age and later on rapping. Although she always had a love and passion for music, she didn’t take music seriously until the age of 19. She began getting in the studio and working with various artists from all around the DMV, Florida, Atlanta, California, London, Ghana, and many other areas. Joann, who takes inspiration from R&B, soul, hip-hop, gospel, rap, and Afrobeats, says one of her biggest inspirations is Beyoncé. Growing up watching Beyoncé sing, dance, and perform pushed her to be creative, confident, and unpredictable. Joann is passionate about putting Virginia on the map because “the world doesn’t hear much about VA and creatives don’t make it from here despite their hard work and talent” she says. She is determined to change the narrative and make it happen.

Damnn Joann currently has 4 singles out (Good News, Takeout, In My Dreams, Like Me) and by that time I’ll have my first Ep “Unpredictable” out featuring 10 songs.

After releasing hits like Say I am. Sadd is back with his new album “Bottom of my Heart” featuring frequent collaborator Masi.
